Scott Weiland

Scott Weiland was a charismatic and influential rock vocalist best known as the frontman for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. With a career that took off in the early '90s grunge era, Weiland’s powerful voice and dynamic stage presence helped propel Stone Temple Pilots to commercial success with hits like “Plush,” “Interstate Love Song,” and “Vasoline.” Later, he joined former members of Guns N’ Roses to form the supergroup Velvet Revolver, scoring big with their debut album, Contraband.

Outside of his band work, Weiland also pursued solo projects that showcased his eclectic musical tastes—ranging from glam rock to holiday tunes. Releases like 2008’s Happy in Galoshes and 2015’s Blaster with his band The Wildabouts highlighted his willingness to experiment and evolve. Though his life and career were marked by personal struggles, Weiland left behind a lasting legacy and remains an iconic figure in alternative and hard rock music.
