Giriu Dvasios
Giriu Dvasios is a Lithuanian folk metal band that combines traditional Lithuanian folk music with heavy metal. The band was formed in 2004 and has released six studio albums, the most recent of which is "Vesna" (2022). Giriu Dvasios' music is characterized by its use of traditional Lithuanian instruments, such as the kanklės (a type of zither) and the skudučiai (a type of bagpipe), as well as its incorporation of traditional Lithuanian folk melodies. The band's lyrics often deal with themes of Lithuanian history, mythology, and nature.
