Yelle

Yelle is a vivacious French electropop band formed in 2005 in Saint-Brieuc, Bretagne. The group consists of lead singer and namesake Julie Budet, also known as Yelle, producer and keyboardist GrandMarnier (Jean-François Perrier), and third member Tanguy Destable, also known as Tepr. They rose to fame when their song "Je veux te voir" became a hit on Myspace, leading to a contract with the label Source Records, which later became part of Universal Music Group. Yelle's music is characterized by an infectious blend of pop melodies, electronic beats, and a touch of humor, all delivered in Budet's charismatic French vocal stylings.

Over the years, Yelle has remained a staple in the international pop scene, known for their energetic live performances and colorful music videos. Their discography includes several well-received albums such as "Pop-Up" (2007), "Safari Disco Club" (2011), and "Complètement Fou" (2014). Their recent work, including their album "L'Ère du Verseau," which was released in 2020, showcases a more mature sound while retaining the group's playful essence. Songs like "Je t'aime encore" and its various remixes highlight Yelle's ability to explore emotional depth without losing their signature dance-ready vibe. As they continue to evolve, Yelle maintains a devoted fan base eager for their genre-defying brand of music, while also attracting new listeners with their refreshing and innovative approach.
