Fernando Miguel Jaloto

Fernando Miguel Jalôto is a notable figure in the realm of early music, particularly known for his work as the founder and artistic director of the Ludovice Ensemble. This ensemble is dedicated to performing music from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, making it one of the most active and prestigious groups of Ancient Music in Portugal. Jalôto has a strong educational background in music, having completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Harpsichord at the Department of Ancient Music and Historic Performance Practice. He is also a PhD student in Musicology at Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

As a musician, Jalôto has been involved in various musical projects, including recent releases such as "Coelho: Flores de Musica pera o Instrumento de Tecla, & Harpa, Vol. 4" and "Dieupart: Six Suites de Clavecin." His work with the Ludovice Ensemble highlights his dedication to preserving and performing historical music with authenticity and passion.
