Joel Goldsmith
Joel Goldsmith (1955–2012) was an American composer best known for his work in film and television scoring. Over his career he wrote music for a range of projects, including the TV series *Witchblade* and films like *Kull the Conqueror*, *Vampirella*, *Laserblast*, and *Diamonds*, with many of these scores later collected and reissued on soundtrack albums.
He was the son of legendary film composer Jerry Goldsmith, and while that connection is often noted, Joel built his own résumé in genre-heavy screen music—leaning into atmospheric textures and punchy, dramatic themes that fit sci-fi, fantasy, and action-driven stories especially well.
