Bright Arcana is a dark folk duo from the Pacific Northwest, consisting of vocalist/guitarist Nathan Carson and vocalist/cellist Valerie Rose. Their music is a haunting and ethereal blend of folk, classical, and electronic elements, with lyrics that explore themes of love, loss, and the supernatural. Their sound has been compared to the likes of Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, and Dead Can Dance.
Since their formation in 2010, Bright Arcana has released a series of critically acclaimed albums and EPs, including "To The Terrible Blood" (2015), "The Terrible Blood" (2017), and "White Oleander" (2020). They have toured extensively throughout the US and Europe, and have performed at festivals such as SXSW, Primavera Sound, and Roadburn.
