MIEN

**MIEN** is a psych-rock supergroup formed by members of four established bands: Alex Maas (The Black Angels), John-Mark Lapham (The Earlies), Rishi Dhir (Elephant Stone), and Tom Furse (The Horrors). The project came to life in 2018, blending their shared love for swirling psychedelia, haunting vocals, and experimental textures. Their self-titled debut album, *MIEN*, dropped that same year, featuring tracks like "Earth Moon," "Black Habit," and "(I'm tired of) Western Shouting," which mix retro synth vibes with gritty, reverb-drenched rock. Known for their dark, cinematic soundscapes, MIEN feels like a late-night drive through a neon-lit desert—hypnotic and a little eerie. While they’ve kept a relatively low profile since their first release, their collaborative energy and genre-blurring approach make them a standout in the modern psych scene.
