Michael Des Barres
Michael Des Barres is an English singer, songwriter, and actor best known for fronting a string of glam- and hard-rock bands across the ’70s and ’80s, including Silverhead, Detective, Chequered Past, and a late-’80s stint as the lead singer of The Power Station. Alongside his band work, he’s also released solo material and built a parallel career on screen, popping up in film and TV over the years.
He’s also become a bit of a rock ’n’ roll institution as a raconteur and host, known in later decades for radio and live storytelling that leans heavily into classic rock history and his own time in the thick of it.
