The Color of Cyan is a Chicago-based post-rock and post-metal band originally formed in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2000. The trio, consisting of Henry Cole (drums), Jorge Santana (bass), and Eduardo Cintron (guitar), re-emerged during the pandemic as an instrumental project known for intricate guitar-driven soundscapes blending post-rock, neo-classical, and ambient metal elements. Their 2021 debut album, *Agape*, received praise for its atmospheric, orchestral post-rock style reminiscent of Sigur Rós and Godspeed You Black Emperor, featuring patient build-ups and cinematic textures. Their follow-up, *Egress* (2023), was recorded across Puerto Rico, Chicago, and Mexico City, pushing their sound further with emotionally charged, flowing compositions that the band describes as "constantly in motion." Their forthcoming album *As Human* explores themes of fragility and endurance, with music described as a wordless film that balances grand, swelling arrangements with intimate moments. They also performed a live session at Chicago's Electrical Audio, showcasing their cinematic and shoegazer-influenced sound.
