Gargoyl

Gargoyl is a genre-blending metal project that emerged in 2020 with a sound mixing progressive metal, alternative rock, and psychedelic vibes. Formed by Revocation vocalist/guitarist Luke Roberts and experimental guitarist Pat Bonvin, the band creates a haunting yet melodic cocktail of angular riffs, atmospheric textures, and introspective lyrics. Their self-titled debut album introduced their signature balance of metallic edge and moody introspection, featuring standout tracks like the brooding "Wraith" and the hypnotic "Electrical Sickness."

While rooted in metal, Gargoyl's music incorporates unexpected elements like clean vocal harmonies and jazz-tinged instrumentation, creating a distinctly modern flavor. Roberts' versatile vocals shift between gritty growls and melodic clarity, mirroring the band's dynamic range from crushing heaviness to ethereal soundscapes. Though still a relatively new project, Gargoyl has quickly gained attention for their willingness to bend metal conventions while maintaining visceral intensity.
