Francisco Bernier is a renowned classical guitarist known for his exceptional skill and prize-winning career. He began his musical education at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Seville and later studied at the Ecole Normale "Alfred Cortot" in Paris under Maestro Alberto Ponce. Bernier continued his education at institutions in Germany, Canada, and France, attending masterclasses with notable figures such as Alvaro Pierri and David Russell. He has performed in over 37 countries and in prestigious venues like the Salle Cortot, Teatro Maestranza in Seville, and Merkin Hall in New York. Bernier is a recipient of numerous international prizes, including the "Michele Pittaluga" Competition, and has performed with several orchestras, including the Camerata of Saint Petersburg and the Berkeley Symphony of San Francisco.
Currently, Francisco Bernier is associated with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Seville, where he teaches and is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Seville Guitar Festival. His recent releases include "HOMENAJE A LA GIRALDA," "LUZ AZUL," and arrangements for young guitarists, showcasing his diverse musical contributions.
