Fuck

**Fuck** is an American indie rock band formed in Oakland, California, in 1993. The band's core members include Timothy Prudhomme, Kyle Statham, and Theodore Ellison. Their music career began unexpectedly when they were stuck in a police holding cell, where they wrote songs that would eventually lead to the release of their self-titled cassette and single *MonkeyBeautyShotgun* in 1994. Over the years, they have released a number of albums, including *Pretty...Slow* (1996), *Baby Loves a Funny Bunny* (1996), *Pardon My French* (1997), *Conduct* (1998), *Cupid's Cactus* (2001), *Those Are Not My Bongos* (2003), and *The Band* (2018). They have performed over 400 live shows and have been affiliated with several labels, including Matador Records and Homesleep Records.

The band's music has been featured in various contexts, including a notable appearance in the "Festival of the Fuck Bands" in Austria, where they performed alongside other bands with similar names. Despite their provocative name, they are known for their identifiable sound within the indie rock genre, often blending unique elements into their music. Members of the band have been based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with Prudhomme currently residing in Memphis.
