Mount Jacinto

Mount Jacinto is a solo project led by Sonya Carmona, a musician with a rich background in the music scene, particularly in Costa Rica. Before starting Mount Jacinto, Sonya was active in bands like Colornoise and Las Robertas, where she gained valuable experience touring and performing at notable events like Coachella. The project was inspired by a visit to Mount San Jacinto in California, which marked a turning point in her musical journey. Mount Jacinto's music blends modern psychedelic elements with a deep-rooted musical heritage influenced by Sonya's family and her exposure to a wide range of genres, from jazz to rock.

Mount Jacinto's debut album, *Silver Lining*, released on Taxi Gauche Records, showcases this blend of styles with tracks like *The Reason* and *Forest*. The project has evolved significantly since its inception, with Sonya collaborating with other musicians to bring her compositions to life both in the studio and on stage. The live performances often feature a dynamic lineup of musicians, creating an intimate and energetic experience for audiences. With plans to continue touring and recording, Mount Jacinto is set to make a lasting impact on the music scene.
