Formed in 1998, the band was initially a "desert rock" supergroup of sorts, featuring alumni from notable acts such as Kyuss, Slo Burn, and Orquesta del Desierto. John Garcia, the distinctive vocalist known for his work with Kyuss, lends his signature howl to Hermano, cementing the band's sound with his powerful, gritty delivery.

With the release of their debut album "Only A Suggestion" in 2002, Hermano established themselves with hard-hitting tunes that resonated with fans of the genre.
