Rick Vito is an American guitarist and singer best known for his work in blues and blues-rock. He gained wide recognition in the late 1980s as a member of Fleetwood Mac, joining the band during a period that produced the album *Behind the Mask* (1990) and the subsequent world tour. Before and after his time with Fleetwood Mac, Vito built a substantial career as a sought-after player and bandleader, respected for his tasteful, slide-inflected guitar style and deep grounding in classic blues.
Outside of Fleetwood Mac, Vito has released music under his own name and worked with a range of notable artists in the blues and rock world. Over the years he’s also been associated with projects like Mick Fleetwood’s blues-focused bands (including the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band) and has remained a steady presence on the modern blues circuit as a guitarist who plays with feel first and flash second.
