Crucifixion BR is a Brazilian blackened death metal band formed in 1996, originally hailing from Rio Grande do Sul and later based in São Paulo. The band was founded by drummer Juliana Novo, known as one of the most brutal female drummers in the metal scene and a two-time finalist in the Hit Like A Girl contest, alongside vocalist and guitarist Maxx Guterres, who is also the creative force behind the band. Their sound is a fierce blend of black and death metal, drawing comparisons to bands like Behemoth, Morbid Angel, and Vader.

Over the years, Crucifixion BR has built a solid reputation through countless shows across Brazil and a European tour, sharing stages with prominent metal acts such as Dark Funeral, Krisiun, and Gama Bomb. Their discography includes notable releases like "Destroying the Fucking Disciples of Christ" (2014) and the critically praised "Human Decay" (2021), the latter featuring guest appearances from André Rod of Attomica and metal veteran Dave Ingram. The band’s music is recognized for its intense energy, complex compositions, and relentless aggression, with production overseen by Maxx Guterres and Sebastian Carsin, making them a significant presence in the international extreme metal scene.
