Gospel of the Horns

Gospel of the Horns is an Australian extreme metal band, renowned for their blend of black and thrash metal with a raw edge and relentless aggression. Formed in 1993 in Brisbane, Queensland, the group rapidly became a formidable name in the underground metal scene. Led by bassist and vocalist Mark Howitzer, Gospel of the Horns crafted a sound that was both ferocious and distinctly imbued with a sense of misanthropy and antipathy towards religious structures, which is reflected in their lyrical content.

Over the years, Gospel of the Horns released a series of powerful and gritty recordings, including their highly regarded full-length albums such as "A Call to Arms" (2002) and "Realm of the Damned" (2007). Their music showcases a persistent dedication to the traditional elements of black and thrash metal, while their relentless energy and raw production became a trademark for the group. Despite taking a hiatus, the band's influence persevered, leading to the remix and remaster of "Realm of the Damned" in 2014, ensuring that their legacy within the extreme metal community endured. With a discography that also includes potent EPs like "Eve of the Conqueror" (2000) and "Ceremonial Conjuration" (2012), Gospel of the Horns stands as a paragon of the unyielding spirit of the Australian metal underground.
