Facing Fear

Facing Fear is a traditional heavy metal band formed in November 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The group was started by guitarist D'antas and drummer Vall Maranhão, and over the years, they have developed a sound influenced by classic heavy metal icons like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, incorporating elements reminiscent of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). Their music often explores themes such as war and struggle, delivered with powerful riffs and energetic vocals. Facing Fear has maintained an active presence in the metal scene with releases including songs like "Marginal Metal," "Until the End," and "Ana Jansen," showcasing their commitment to classic metal intensity combined with a Brazilian flair. The lineup has seen some changes, with Terry Painkiller on vocals since 2017 and John Killesh joining on guitars in 2020, keeping the band dynamic and evolving.
