The Florida All-State Middle School Treble Chorus is a select ensemble of vocalists from across the state of Florida, composed of students in grades 7 and 8 whose voices are unchanged, primarily female but also including male singers with unchanged voices. This group is part of the Florida Music Education Association’s (FMEA) prestigious All-State program, which annually brings together top performers for intensive rehearsals and performances at the FMEA Professional Development Conference. Auditioning is a rigorous, multi-step process that includes written tests, sight-singing, and a vocal performance, with only the top scorers earning a spot in the chorus.
Each year, the Middle School Treble Chorus collaborates with renowned guest conductors to present a varied and challenging repertoire, showcasing the talent and dedication of Florida’s young musicians. These choristers are recognized for their musical skill and commitment, making the ensemble one of the highlights of the state’s choral community.
