Dipalee Somaiya Date is an Indian playback singer and television personality who has lent her voice to more than 200 Hindi and Gujarati films, beginning her career as a child artist at the age of nine; she forms the celebrated musical duo Samir & Dipalee with her husband Samir Date, has collaborated with legends such as Jagjit Singh, is a four‑time Gujarat State Award winner and has been honored twice by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and regularly appears on Saregama TV and in live performance events across the country.
