Federation

Federation is an American hip-hop group hailing from Fairfield, California that emerged in the early 2000s and played a significant role in the popularization of the "hyphy" movement in the Bay Area. Comprised of rappers Doonie Baby, Goldie Gold, and Mr. Stres, the group is known for their high-energy beats, catchy hooks, and dance-oriented lyrics which perfectly encapsulated the raw and unrestrained essence of hyphy culture.

The group made a name for themselves with their self-titled debut album "Federation 'The Album'" in 2004, which introduced their signature sound to the masses. They followed up with hits like "Hyphy," "Go Dumb," and "18 Dummy/I Only Wear My White Tees Once," cementing their status in the West Coast music scene. In 2007, Federation released "It's Whateva," which added to their catalog of party anthems with tracks like "Get Naked You Beezy" and "College Girl." Highlighted by a penchant for bass-heavy production and anthemic chants, Federation's music encapsulates the flamboyant and energetic lifestyle associated with the hyphy movement which, at its peak, dominated the urban music landscape on the West Coast.
