**Coffin Club** is the electrifying side project of darkwave icon Chelsea Wolfe and her longtime collaborator/drummer Jess Gowrie. Born from a shared love of garage rock, punk, and raw DIY energy, the duo serves up a gritty, fuzzed-out contrast to Wolfe’s solo work. Since emerging in 2021, they’ve dropped gnarly bangers like “Seashells” and “Nowhere Nowhere,” blending lo-fi distortion with hypnotic hooks and Wolfe’s signature haunting vocals. Their 2023 single “Remainder” cranks up the tempo with frenetic drums and grungy riffs, proving they’re not afraid to get messy. Coffin Club feels like a secret basement show—all sweat, thrifted fishnet gloves, and “play it louder” attitude. Just don’t expect any moody ballads here.
