Leif Arne Pedersen is a Norwegian clarinetist and conductor born in 1964 in Porsgrunn. He studied clarinet with Bendt Neuchs Sørensen in Copenhagen and Larry Combs in Chicago before joining Norway’s Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps in the mid-1980s. By 1988, he became principal clarinet of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. He has led major Norwegian ensembles like the Royal Norwegian Navy Band (2003–2008) and the Norwegian Air Force Band (since 2011), while also teaching at the Norwegian Academy of Music. His discography includes classical works and patriotic marches, reflecting his versatility across genres.
