Bohumil Kulínský was a Czech choirmaster, best known for his long tenure as the conductor of the Prague Radio Children's Choir (Dětský sbor Českého rozhlasu), also known as the Bambini di Praga. He led the choir for an incredible 40 years, shaping generations of young singers and establishing the group as one of the world's leading children's choirs. Kulínský's arrangements and conducting style emphasized a pure, clear tone and precise diction, resulting in a distinctive sound that earned the choir international acclaim and numerous awards. His recordings, many of which feature Czech folk songs, Christmas carols, and works by classical composers, continue to be enjoyed worldwide.
Beyond his work with the Prague Radio Children's Choir, Kulínský was a dedicated music educator, developing methods for teaching music to children. This is reflected in releases like "Cvičíme S Hudbou" (We Exercise With Music), designed for use in preschools. His legacy extends beyond his recordings, influencing countless young musicians and shaping the landscape of children's choral music.
