Desorden Social Rap

Desorden Social Rap is a Colombian hip-hop group formed in 1999 by brothers Juan Carlos Duque and Rolando Duque. Hailing from El Peñol, a small town in eastern Antioquia, the group emerged during a tumultuous period in Colombia's history marked by armed conflict. Their music often addresses socio-political issues, drawing from their experiences as displaced persons due to the conflict between guerrillas, paramilitaries, and the Colombian government.

Over their 20+ year career, Desorden Social Rap has released multiple albums and become one of Colombia's most prominent hip-hop acts. Known for their conscious lyrics and independent approach, they've built a sustainable industry under their own label, Vagancia Records. The group has performed extensively throughout Colombia and internationally, earning recognition including a nomination for Best Hip Hop Artist at the 2011 Shock Awards for Colombian music.
