Hector Samuel Juan "Tico" Torres, born on October 7, 1953, in New York City, is best known as the energetic drummer for the legendary rock band Bon Jovi. With a career spanning over five decades, Tico originally took an interest in music at the young age of five, starting with the guitar before transitioning to drums. His big break came when he filled in for a drummer on a TV show, discovering a passion for performance that would lead him to play with some of rock’s biggest names before joining Bon Jovi in 1983. Tico's solid backbeat became a defining sound for the band, contributing to their massive hits and anthemic albums that have shaped rock music history. In 2018, he was honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside his bandmates.
Beyond his musical talents, Tico is also an accomplished painter, having exhibited his artwork since 1994. His pieces often reflect his experiences with music and life on the road, capturing everyday scenes with a vibrant and expressive style. Residing in Florida, Tico balances his passion for art with his enduring love for drumming, while enjoying hobbies like golfing whenever he’s not electrifying audiences with Bon Jovi.
