Andy Hull

Andy Hull is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the frontman of the indie rock band Manchester Orchestra. He’s also one half of the duo Bad Books (with Kevin Devine), and he’s been involved in other projects including Right Away, Great Captain! and the supergroup Gizmodgery. Alongside his band work, Hull has contributed vocals and songwriting across collaborations and soundtracks.

Over the years, Hull has become known for emotionally direct lyrics and dynamic, intensity-building arrangements—whether he’s delivering intimate acoustic moments or full-band catharsis. His work spans multiple releases and side projects, but it consistently centers on songwriting that’s personal, narrative-driven, and built to hit hard live.
