Fumiko Shiraga

Fumiko Shiraga was a Japanese-German pianist, renowned for her contributions to classical music. Born on July 5, 1967, she gained recognition in the late 1990s for her interpretations of piano concertos through both CD recordings and public performances. Shiraga began playing piano as a child in Japan but considers herself German, as her family moved to Germany when she was six years old. Her musical repertoire includes a variety of classical works, such as those by Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Bruckner. Unfortunately, Fumiko Shiraga passed away on January 13, 2017.

Her recent releases highlight her versatility in performing chamber versions of famous concertos, including works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin.
