Purity Ring is a Canadian electronic pop duo formed in 2010 by Megan James (vocalist) and Corin Roddick (instrumentalist and producer). The duo swiftly carved out a distinctive niche within the electronic music scene, garnering widespread acclaim with their debut album "Shrines" in 2012. Their sound is marked by ethereal vocals wrapped in lush, intricate syntheses of trap beats, dreamy synths, and glimmering melodies, creating an atmospheric and otherworldly musical experience.

Following the success of "Shrines," Purity Ring released their sophomore album, "Another Eternity," in 2015 which further solidified their standing with hits like "begin again" and "bodyache." After a hiatus, the duo returned with their highly anticipated third album, "WOMB," in 2020. Continuing to innovate, Purity Ring has also delivered a series of compelling singles and remixes, including "soshy," their hypnotic rendition of Deftones' "Knife Prty," and a cover of Alice Deejay's dance classic "Better Off Alone," all of which reaffirm their prowess in bridging the gap between the mainstream and the experimental. Their release, "graves," adds another chapter to their evocative sonic journey, complemented by other projects such as "graves resurrection ((remixes))" and the ten-year anniversary celebration of their breakthrough with "shrines X."
