Faravaz

Faravaz Farvardin is a talented singer, songwriter, and musician known for her powerful voice and diverse musical style. Born in 1990 in Tehran, she began her musical journey at the age of 12 by playing the guitar and later learned to play other instruments like the piano and harmonica. Her music incorporates a blend of pop, rock, folk, and fusion genres, often blending Western styles with Iranian folk music. Having faced challenges in her home country due to restrictions on women singing, Faravaz currently lives in Germany and continues to advocate for women's rights to sing through her music and activism. She has released several singles and music videos and is working on new albums in collaboration with international companies.

Faravaz is also known for her role in the #RightToSing campaign, which she founded to oppose the ban on women singing in Iran and to empower female singers. Her music often reflects her personal experiences and her drive for change, making her a beacon of hope for many Iranian women. Through her songs, she conveys messages of resilience and strength, often inspired by movements like "Woman Life Freedom."
