Fatma Said is an Egyptian soprano who has been praised for her "luminous" voice and "exquisite" musicianship. Born in Cairo in 1991, Said began singing at a young age and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She made her professional debut in 2016 at the Glyndebourne Festival and has since performed at major opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, and the Vienna State Opera. Said is known for her versatility, having performed a wide range of roles from Mozart to Verdi to contemporary opera. She is also a passionate advocate for music education and has founded the Fatma Said Music School in Cairo, which provides free music lessons to underprivileged children.
