Northside

Northside was a British indie rock band from Manchester, England, formed in the late 1980s. The band consisted of Warren "D Dermot' Dermott on vocals and guitar, Paul Walshaw on guitar, Timmy Walshaw on bass, and Clive Jefferies on drums, though the original drummer was later replaced. They are best known for their 1991 single "Shark God," which reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart, and their album "Chicken Rhythms," released the same year.

The band's sound was characterized by their blend of indie rock and psychedelic influences. Although they didn't achieve long-term commercial success, Northside is often cited as an influence by later indie and Britpop bands. "Chicken Rhythms" remains their most well-known work, showcasing the band's unique sound and style. Biographical information is generally limited, but the band is remembered for their contribution to the UK's indie scene in the early 1990s.
