Five Knives

Five Knives was a fiery electronic rock act hailing from Nashville, blending gritty synth-driven beats with punk energy during their early-to-mid-2010s run. Known for their rebellious spirit and chaotic live shows, the group featured lead vocalist Anna Westerlund alongside multi-instrumentalists Nathan Barlowe, Shane Wise, and Derek Drymon. They gained traction with explosive singles like "Sugar" and "The Rising," showcasing their signature mix of aggressive electronics and anthemic vocals. Their 2014 EP *The Rising* and 2015 full-length *Streaming: While You’re Underground* cemented their reputation for high-octane, genre-blurring bangers, including collaborations like "Savages" with EDM producer Tom Swoon.

Despite their momentum, Five Knives called it quits in 2016, leaving behind a catalog of adrenaline-pumping tracks that still resonate with fans of boundary-pushing alt-electronic music. Their releases, including remix packages and the raw intensity of tracks like "Dirty Souls," remain a testament to their brief but electrifying collision of rock rebellion and digital chaos.
