Linda Perhacs is a psychedelic folk singer-songwriter who originally gained a cult following with her 1970 debut album, Parallelograms. A dental hygienist by profession, Perhacs created the album during off-hours, but despite its lush, ethereal soundscapes and critically praised songwriting, it initially went under the radar. Over time, Parallelograms developed a dedicated fanbase and was reissued in the early 2000s, ultimately leading to a revival of her musical career.
After decades away from the spotlight, Perhacs returned with new material, releasing The Soul of All Natural Things in 2014 and I'm A Harmony in 2017. Her music, a blend of folk, psychedelia, and ambient textures, has continued to resonate with new generations of listeners. Her later work often features collaborations with contemporary artists and producers who were inspired by her pioneering sound.
