Foster Martin Band

The Foster Martin Band was formed in 1985 by Lyle Foster and Ray Martin, who together co-wrote all the songs on their four CDs. Based out of Oakbank, Manitoba, just east of Winnipeg, the band has built a strong reputation over the years. Ray Martin, one of the founding members, has a background in music that includes playing bars at the age of 17 with a band called True Grit before starting the Foster Martin Band. The group has achieved significant success, winning numerous awards throughout their career.

The band's music style is rooted in country, with their discography reflecting a blend of catchy melodies and storytelling. Some of their work includes songs like "Willy's Bar & Grill," showcasing their ability to craft memorable and engaging tunes. Despite being active for over three decades, specific details about their recent releases or current activities are limited in available records. However, their legacy as a notable country band from Manitoba remains strong.
