Astrobrite

Astrobrite is an American shoegaze and noise pop project that originated from the vision of multi-instrumentalist Scott Cortez, who is also known for his work with the band Lovesliescrushing. Astrobrite came into existence in the 1990s, introducing a wall of sound approach that resonates with the dense, distorted guitar layers reminiscent of the shoegaze genre. The project's sonic signature is characterized by its ethereal melodies submerged under a massive blur of lo-fi noise, creating a contrasting sense of beauty within chaos.

The various releases by Astrobrite have built a legacy of influential dream-pop and shoegaze records. Starting with the debut "crush" in the late 90s, Astrobrite's discography has evolved over the years while maintaining a consistent essence of lush soundscapes. Albums like "pinkshinyultrablast" and "whitenoise superstar" showcase the project's range from more melodic to aggressively noisy textures. Astrobrite's more recent works include "DELUXER" and "all the stars will fall," continuing the tradition of expansive sonority that has come to define the Astrobrite name. The project has also demonstrated a penchant for reimagining tracks, as seen in remixes such as "Crusher (Astrobrite Remix)" and "Baby Love (Astrobrite Remix)," proving Cortez's ability to reinterpret and inject new life into music through his unique auditory lens.
