SubArachnoid Space was a San Francisco-based experimental psychedelic rock band known for their hypnotic, improvisational soundscapes blending space rock, drone, and krautrock influences. Formed in the mid-’90s around the core duo of guitarist Mally Jackson (Melynda Jackson) and guitarist/keyboardist Mason Jones, the band crafted immersive, mostly instrumental jams built on swirling guitars, pulsing rhythms, and cosmic atmospherics. Over their active years, they released a string of albums like *These Things Take Time* (2000), *The Red Veil* (2003), and *Endless Renovation* (2004), leaning into a reputation for both studio precision and freewheeling live performances.
