Klapa Sufit

Klapa Šufit is a renowned male vocal group from Split, Croatia, founded in 1992 by music professor Tomislav Versic. The group's name, "Šufit," translates to "attic" in Croatian, reflecting their early rehearsals in the attic of Split's 4th Gymnasium "Marko Marulić." Klapa Šufit is celebrated for its traditional and modern klapa music, a style of a cappella multi-part singing typical of Dalmatia. Over the years, they have achieved significant success, particularly with hits like "Ne Diraj Moju Ljubav" and their album "Ponoć je, mila moja majko." They have won numerous awards, including being absolute winners of the Omiš Festival in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

Klapa Šufit's performances have been conducted by notable figures such as Duško Tambača and Jasminko Setka, leading to a unique blend of traditional and innovative klapa styles. The group has a strong fan base in Croatia and abroad, with appearances in prominent festivals and international events. Some of their notable works, including songs listed, reflect their versatility and impact on the klapa scene. Their music offers a blend of traditional harmonies with contemporary flair, attracting audiences globally and contributing to the preservation and promotion of Dalmatian klapa heritage.
