From Autumn To Ashes, often known as FATA, is a post-hardcore band that emerged from the Long Island music scene in the early 2000s. The band quickly gained recognition for their adept amalgamation of melody and aggression, seamlessly blending elements of hardcore punk and emo to create a sound that resonated with a diverse audience. Their explosive, raw energy and lyrical introspection earned them a passionate following.
Their debut album, "Too Bad You're Beautiful" in 2001, set the precedent for their emotionally charged performances and deeply personal content, while follow-up records like "The Fiction We Live" (2003) and "Abandon Your Friends" (2005) saw the band refine their sound and lyrical narrative. After a hiatus and subsequent lineup changes, the band released "Holding a Wolf By the Ears" in 2007, which continued to showcase their evolution as a staple in the post-hardcore scene. Despite their hiatuses and lineup changes, From Autumn To Ashes has left an indelible mark on the genre, and their live performances, including "Live at Looney Tunes" (2008), capture the raw intensity and emotion that have defined their career.
