Frankie Muriel is a dynamic American singer-songwriter known for blending rock, funk, and soul with an energetic stage presence. Raised in a musical family—his father was a Latin jazz percussionist—Muriel’s eclectic influences include artists like David Lee Roth and Prince, which have helped shape his distinctive style. He first rose to prominence in the late 1980s as the frontman of the glam-metal band King of the Hill, achieving success with singles like “If I Say,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and gained MTV airplay. After the band dissolved, Muriel reinvented himself with the disco-rock cover band Dr. Zhivegas, which became a staple on the Midwest music scene with thousands of high-energy performances across the country.
