F-Minus

F-Minus were a blazing fast, politically charged hardcore punk band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1997, they quickly gained notoriety for their furious live shows and uncompromisingly leftist lyrics, railing against everything from police brutality to consumer culture. Their sound was a raw blend of early hardcore influences like Black Flag and Negative Approach, mixed with a healthy dose of thrash. They released several albums and EPs on various labels, including Epitaph Records, and toured relentlessly, sharing stages with bands like The Casualties and Leftover Crack. Though they officially disbanded in 2003, their influence can still be heard in countless punk bands today.

After a few years of inactivity, F-Minus briefly reunited in 2006 for a handful of shows and again in 2011 for a short West Coast tour. While they haven't released any new music since their initial breakup, their back catalog continues to resonate with fans who appreciate their raw energy and socially conscious message. Their albums like "Wake Up Screaming" and "Suburban Blight" remain essential listening for anyone interested in politically charged hardcore punk.
