Wroclaw Baroque Ensemble

The Wrocław Baroque Ensemble is a renowned musical group specializing in historically informed performances, with a particular focus on exploring lesser-known repertoire from Central Europe, especially Polish Renaissance and Baroque music. Founded in 2012 by Andrzej Kosendiak, the ensemble operates under his artistic direction and is a resident ensemble of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. It comprises exceptional instrumentalists and vocalists from Poland, the Czech Republic, the UK, and Germany. The ensemble has a rich recording history, featuring works by Polish composers such as Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki, Bartłomiej Pękiel, Marcin Mielczewski, Stanisław Sylwester Szarzyński, Mikołaj Zieleński, and Jacek Różycki. Their albums are available on Spotify and distributed worldwide by Naxos, earning them several nominations and awards, including the Fryderyk Award.

The ensemble has performed at major international festivals like Wratislavia Cantans, Ohrid Summer, and the Ljubljana Festival, showcasing a variety of early music from chamber works to oratorios and cantatas.
