Frank Turner

Frank Turner is an English folk-punk singer-songwriter from Meonstoke, Hampshire. Born on December 28, 1981, Turner began his career as the vocalist of post-hardcore band Million Dead, with whom he recorded two albums before the group disbanded in 2005. Following the dissolution of Million Dead, Turner shifted his musical direction and embarked on a solo career. His music is known for its passionate folk-infused melodies, punk rock energy, and introspective lyrics.

After going solo, Frank Turner's sound took a more acoustic and folk-oriented turn, yet he retained the raw edge and lyricism that resonated with his punk roots. Throughout his solo career, he has been prolific in his output, releasing a series of critically acclaimed albums including "Love Ire & Song" in 2008, "England Keep My Bones" in 2011, and "Positive Songs for Negative People" in 2015. His most recent work, such as the albums "FTHC" and its deluxe edition, as well as singles like "Little Life" and "Haven't Been Doing So Well," showcase his continued evolution as an artist. Beyond his studio recordings, Turner is also celebrated for his energetic and emotive live performances, solidifying his reputation as a mainstay in the modern folk-punk landscape. In addition to his music career, Frank Turner is also known for his collaborations with other artists, such as his "Buddies II: Still Buddies" project, and his activism, often advocating for causes like mental health and homelessness.
