Frankie Sparo

Frankie Sparo, the pseudonym of singer/songwriter Chad Jones, hails from Victoria, British Columbia, but is now based in Montreal, Quebec. Under this moniker, Jones released a distinctive brand of slow, introspective music, often accompanied by just a guitar. His early work, such as *My Red Scare* (2000) and *Arena Hostile* (2001), was marked by gruff vocals and acoustic performances. Over time, Jones incorporated more musicians into his sound, leading to the release of *Welcome Crummy Mystics* in 2003, which featured collaborations with Nadia Moss and other artists.

Jones's music career as Frankie Sparo unfolded largely through the early 2000s, culminating in a temporary hiatus before a brief return in 2007. Today, he performs as part of The Witchies, alongside Nadia Moss and Jonah Fortune. Frankie Sparo's legacy remains tied to his singular style and contributions to the Montreal music scene, where he was signed to Constellation Records during his most active years.
