Warmen is a Finnish metal band founded by keyboardist Janne "Warman" Wirman, best known for his long tenure with Children of Bodom. Originally started as a solo project in 1999, Warmen evolved into a full band over time, showcasing Wirman's virtuosic keyboard playing and a dynamic blend of melodic death metal, power metal, and progressive elements. The project allowed Wirman to explore musical ideas outside the confines of Children of Bodom, often featuring guest vocalists and instrumental experimentation.
After Children of Bodom disbanded in 2019, Warmen took on new life, becoming a more collaborative band effort. Their 2023 album, "Here for None," marked a new chapter with a fresh lineup and a heavier, more aggressive sound. The album also featured vocals by Petri Lindroos (of Ensiferum and formerly Norther), adding a new edge to the band's sonic identity. With both seasoned musicianship and experimental fire, Warmen continues to be a compelling force in the Finnish metal scene.
