Florence Millet

Florence Millet is a Franco-German classical pianist with a seriously impressive resume. Born in Brussels in 1964, she's been tickling the ivories professionally for decades and currently serves as Professor of Piano and Chair of the Piano Department at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Millet's not just about teaching though - she's an active performer who's graced stages from Carnegie Hall to the Kölner Philharmonie.

When she's not flying solo, Millet likes to mix it up with some chamber music action. She's a founding member of the Lions Gate Trio and has collaborated with a bunch of top-notch composers like Luciano Berio and Pierre Boulez. Her discography is pretty diverse too, ranging from classical heavyweights like Schumann and Schubert to more contemporary fare by Elliott Carter. Recently, she's been busy in the studio, dropping albums like "Busch: Piano Concerto in C Major, Op. 31 & Other Piano Works" and "John Cage: Music For Three".
