Farout Fishing

Farout Fishing was a Norwegian rock band that existed from 1990 to 2004. The band originated in Målselv and later moved to Tromsø and Kabelvåg before settling in Oslo. The original lineup included Chris Reddy on drums, Kjell Erik "Kjell-Vis" Bersvendsen on vocals, Henrik Sandnes on bass guitar, and Per Idar "Po" Pedersen on guitar. Later members included Kent Remi Gabrielsen on guitar and Sindre Mehl on vocals. Farout Fishing gained attention for their unique blend of thrash metal, hardcore, funk, and psychedelic elements, often drawing comparisons to bands like Sepultura and Faith No More. Their debut album, *Bashflack*, was produced by Ronni Le Tekrø and received positive reviews for its eclectic sound, which included guest appearances and innovative instrumentation.

The band's music often featured complex arrangements, including classical instruments and rap elements, as seen in their collaboration with Leo Fossen from B.O.L.T. Warhead. Despite their creative output, Farout Fishing disbanded in 2004. Some of their members went on to join other projects, such as Dog Almighty, which included Sindri from Farout Fishing. Although the band is no longer active, their legacy remains as part of Norway's vibrant rock scene during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
