Wapddi

Wapddi, born Yang Jihoon on February 15, 1997, is a South Korean indie rock musician from Chuncheon. He began his music career as part of a campus band at Kangwon National University. Wapddi gained popularity through his emotive music videos on YouTube, which often capture the feelings of those in their 20s. His notable releases include the studio album *More Shameful Song to Show Others* (2021) and EPs like *Jordan Wants to Play* (2021) and *Ah I was thrown out!* (2023). Wapddi is also known for organizing events like the Digital Dawn concert, which brings together prominent figures in Seoul's indie music scene, including Parannoul and Asian Glow. He founded his own label, 6v6 Recordings, and has collaborated with other artists such as Brokenteeth and Omilgop.

Wapddi's music often blends indie rock with elements of power pop and bitpop, as seen in his EP *Jordan Wants to Play*. His live performances are energetic and engaging, showcasing his mastery of genres like bitpop and dream pop. Wapddi continues to be an influential figure in South Korea's indie music scene, both as a performer and a promoter of emerging talent.
