Baby and the Nobodies

Baby and the Nobodies are a high-energy, female-fronted punk rock outfit from Olympia, Washington, with a sound that’s as raw and catchy as the classic punk and glam acts they grew up on—think Blondie, The Runaways, and Social Distortion, all filtered through a Pacific Northwest lens. The band is fronted by Rebecca Terry, whose vocals have drawn comparisons to Chrissy Hynde and Pat Benatar, and features a rotating lineup including Rev James on guitar, Tyler Sweet (guitar, backing vocals), Kenny James (bass, backing vocals), and Dana Sims (drums), though members have changed over time. They’re known for their snotty, melodic, and hook-filled tunes—like the raucous “Kiss This” and the recently released “Bombs Away”—recorded at Seattle’s legendary London Bridge Studio with producer Jonathan Plum, who’s worked with Alice in Chains and Candlebox. Their three albums to date—Satellite Highway, Kiss This, and their latest, Ready or Not (2025)—showcase a band that’s always ready to get crowds off their feet, blending punk attitude with rock-and-roll swagger and a dash of Northwest grit.

With a reputation for lively live shows, Baby and the Nobodies have played up and down the West Coast, from Seattle’s Bite of Seattle festival to Hollywood’s Viper Room, and their music is all about big riffs, bigger hooks, and the kind of confident, in-your-face energy that makes you want to turn up the volume and sing along. Whether you’re playing air guitar to the punchy “PLC (Pretty Loud and Crazy)” or feeling the anthemic pull of “Long Way Home,” these are songs made for letting loose—no apologies, just pure, unpretentious rock and roll.
