Flowering Inferno

Flowering Inferno is the tropical dub/reggae side project initiated by Quantic, aka British-born musician, producer, and DJ Will Holland. His deep dive into the sounds of Colombia, the Caribbean, and beyond is evident in the Flowering Inferno's vibrant melding of influences which include but are not limited to cumbia, reggae, and dub music. The project is primarily known for its seamless blend of traditional rhythms with a modern electronic aesthetic.

Quantic launched Flowering Inferno in 2008 with "Death of the Revolution," which laid the foundation for what would be an exploration of the warm, resonant sounds of the Caribbean coast. Over the years, the project has been celebrated for its lush instrumentation, authentic vibes, and willingness to collaborate with legendary artists, as seen in the 2016 track "A Life Worth Living" featuring U-Roy and Alice Russell. The "1000 Watts" album from the same year further pushed this dynamic fusion of electronic music with reggae and Latin American influences. Flowering Inferno's music often receives the remix treatment from fellow artists, showcasing its broad appeal within the global music community.
